ABSTRACT
This study was carried out to examine the challenges of same faith political ticket on a multi diversified country like. A case study of apc 2023 presidential ticket. Specifically, the study aimed to examine the challenges of having same faith political ticket in Nigeria, find out the probable effect of same faith political ticket on a multi diversified country like Nigeria, investigate if same faith ticket is a strategy deploy by political parties to win elections and assess if the same faith political ticket will breed suspicion of an islamization agenda in Nigeria. The study employed the survey descriptive research design. A total of 259 responses were validated from the survey. From the responses obtained and analyzed, the findings revealed that same faith political ticket breed suspicion of an islamization agenda in Nigeria. The study thereby recommend that religious leaders should preach tolerance in order to promote peaceful co-existence and unity in Nigeria. Also, Nigerians should learn how to put the interests of the country first before their parochial, tribal, ethnic or religious interests because the country is for all of us. Furthermore, the elected leaders of Nigeria headed should as a matter of fairness keep to their electoral promise by putting in place electoral reforms that would enable Nigerians have free and fair election that had eluded the country for decades.
